GOAT OTT Release:  Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming science fiction action thriller The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) is all set to release in theatres on 5th September 2024. Venkat Prabhu’s directorial is a Tamil language movie which focuses on the life of a spy of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS) named Gandhi. He is also a hostage negotiator and a field agent. The movie also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Malvika Sharma, Prashanth Thyagarajan and Prabhu Deva in key roles. According to reports, the movie is based on the 2004 Moscow Metro Bombing.

GOAT On OTT

As quoted by OTT play, earlier Venkat Prabhu in an interview shared that the movie had a run time of 3 hours and 20 minutes from which they had to cut 18 minutes-long footage for theatrical release. After going through the censor board certification, the movie will have a final runtime of 3 hours and 3 minutes. It has been U/A certified. But now it has been confirmed that GOAT will be released on Netflix on October 3 with the same run time as the theatrical version. 

About GOAT

The story revolves around a hostage negotiator named Gandhi who is also a spy working for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS) based in Chennai. The team coordinates with RAW while working for SATS. After being retired, issues stemming from their previous actions arose which they had to fight against with the help of Gandhi’s son Jeevan. The movie will feature Thalapathy Vijay in dual roles. The superstar has taken Rs 200 Crore for the movie as confirmed by producer Archana Kalpathi in an interview with Galatta. As per reports, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) has earned Rs 20 crores in pre-sales on day one.
