Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) has been creating a buzz since the trailer release. The much anticipated Tamil movie is all set to release in theatres on 5th September. The actor is all set to play a double role in the film. He will be seen portraying the role of father and son in the movie. Amid the buzz of GOAT, producer Archana Kalpathi revealed Vijay’s fees in the film. In an interview with Galatta, the producer shared that Thalapathy Vijay took Rs 200 crore for The Greatest Of All Time.

As per reports, the actor became the highest-paid actor in Indian Cinema followed by Prabhas who charges Rs 150 crores and Salman Khan who takes Rs 125 crores per film. Earlier in an interview, Kalpathi said, “A star’s salary is proportional to the box-office revenue they can generate. Our production house doesn’t factor in the money that comes from OTT, satellite, and other language rights. We believe a film should recover the costs, and more, during its theatrical run.”

“There needs to be a pressure to perform, right? The theatrical revenue judgement is the actual meter of success. Work pressure makes us work within a particular budget. Diamonds are made under pressure. You can’t factor in the ‘rights’ revenue and relax saying I’ve already made my money. There needs to be a certain fear to ensure our judgement isn’t affected,” she also said.

“We have spent Rs 400 crore for GOAT, including GST,” she added.

The Greatest Of All Time stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Malvika Sharma, Raghava Lawrence, Prabhu Deva, Premgi Amaren, Mohan and Sneha Prasanna in key roles. The movie already earned Rs 20 crores on day one from advance bookings and pre-sales. The sci-fi action thriller was directed by Venkat Prabhu.
