Golden Globes 2025: All We Imagine As Light, directed by Payal Kapadia, lost a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture in the Non-English Feature category after stiff competition from Hollywood's major players. The winner was Emilia Perez, a musical criminal comedy directed by Jacques Audiard.
'Emilia Perez, which also earned Zoe Saldana a Globe for Best Supporting Actress, centers on four extraordinary women in Mexico who are all seeking their own happiness. In order for Emilia, the boss of the cartel, to live truly as herself, she asks Rita, an underappreciated lawyer, to help stage her death.

Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light centers on the friendships between two Malayali nurses in Mumbai. Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam are the main actors in this official India-French co-production. Chalk & Cheese, Another Birth, and Petit Chaos are the producers of the Malayalam-Hindi film.

For the unversed, All We Imagine As Light won the Grand Prix at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, making it the first Indian movie to compete in the main category in 30 years.
All We Imagine As Light has won numerous accolades, including the Gotham Award for finest International Feature, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Jury Grand Prize and the top spot in the BFI's Sight and Sound poll for the finest movie of 2024.

About Golden Globe 2025
Netflix is topping the nominations for both film and television, which will be honored at the Golden Globes 2025. The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles is hosting the esteemed award presentation, which is hosted by Nikki Glaser.
The Golden Globes will be broadcast live nationwide by CBS for the second year. At 8 PM Eastern and 5 PM Pacific on Sunday, the show begins. The awards presentation will be live streamed on Lionsgate Play in India on Monday, January 6 at 6:30 AM.
