Hansal Mehta has addressed the controversy around gender representation in Hindi cinema in his most recent. He provided a list of actresses whose performances have been particularly noteworthy in recent years.
Hansal Mehta emphasised that this list is about craft, presence and the capacity to break through an industry that has historically placed more attention on glamour than substance rather than box office success or social media recognition.
Medha Shankr was one of the actresses whom Hansal Mehta recently highlighted in his list. In 12th Fail, the filmmaker praised her performance as 'natural' and 'lived-in,' recognising her uniqueness in a movie with a male lead.
He wrote, "Medha’s role in 12th Fail resonated deeply with audiences, bringing authenticity and depth to the film. Her presence elevated the narrative, earning her widespread recognition. With industry veterans like Mehta now looking forward to what she does next, her journey in the industry is gaining momentum (sic)."

Meanwhile, Medha Shankr has finished filming her upcoming riveting production. She is collaborating with Sunny Kaushal for a new movie, which is being produced by Laxman Utekar. With its original plot and captivating acting, the untitled movie is a quirky comedy that promises to infuse the screen with new life.
For almost two months, filming was taking place in Bikaner, where Medha Shankr completed her roles earlier this week.
