Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 has been receiving adulation from across the country. Within 4 days of release, the movie managed to gain Rs 190 Crore. As fans and Bollywood insiders are sharing their views on the film, renowned filmmaker Hansal Mehta also reviewed the Horror Comedy. Rajkummar Rao also reacted to it. While Mehta praised the film and the performances, the filmmaker pointed out that the second instalment is not as sharp in its messaging as the first one.  

Hansal shared on her Instagram stories and wrote, “What a riot! What a scre-fest! what a gag-fest! Funny, irrelevant and massive entertainment in this new instalment. @amakaushik @nirenbhat have created a monster entertainer, a worthy successor to what @rajanddk began, meant to be enjoyed with family. Performances are top class. Particularly @rajkummar_rao who surrenders to the material and madcap world. @nowitsabhi is too good. In great form are @pankajtripathi @aparshakti_khurrana, @shraddhakapoor is stardom personified. Maynot be as sharp as in its messaging as the first instalment but there is so much to admire, so much to enjoy. No wonder its blazing at the box office. Most deserved success for @maddockfilms who have backed this universe with all their might.” Rajkummar Rao shared the post and wrote, “love you sir. Thank you so much.”

Stree 2 delves into the mysterious abduction of women in the town of Chanderi by a headless entity. Even, this time Vicky (played by Rajkummar Rao) will save the town along with his friends. The movie stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Aakash Dabhade in key roles. The film was made on a budget of Rs 50 crore and will soon cross Rs 200 crore mark at the box office.
