The iconic characters Raju, Babu Bhaiyya, and Shyam played by Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty are set to bring back comedic magic with their signature style in Hera Pheri 3. The film is one of the most anticipated comedy movies. Since the announcement, the movie has created waves for its casting whether the original cast is being replaced by the new one. Speculations about actor Kartik Aaryan going to replace Akshay Kumar left the Hera Pheri fans disappointed. Amid the rumours, Suniel Shetty cleared all the air and refuted the reports by stating was never going to happen.
Kartik Aaryan In Hera Pheri 3?
Suniel Shetty shared his excitement about being part of the Hera Pheri franchise again. He also refuted the reports of Akshay Kumar's iconic character being replaced by Kartik Aaryan.
In a conversation with The Times Of India, the actor shared, “Whoever else was coming in was never supposed to replace anybody. He was coming as a new character, but now the makers have gone back to the old script and it is Hera Pheri 10 times more fun."
The actor also revealed he can't believe that it's been 25 years to this cult classic and always fun to work with his co-stars.
Suniel stated, “The beauty of that is that we never felt that it’s been 25 years. Shooting for it didn’t feel that 25 years have gone by. It's just that we are looking different and now we have different get-ups, but otherwise, we're the same. Everybody is the same, right from the producer to the director. We are just going to miss Om Puri dearly. He was one of the pillars of Hera Pheri 1.”
For the unversed, the late actor Om Puri played the role of Khadak Singh in the original movie, from whom Suniel's character Shyam, borrowed some money.
Here Pheri 3 was officially announced on Priyadarshan’s birthday, where Akshay Kumar confirmed his return as a director to the franchise. The filming of the movie has started. Recently, the reports of the first scene of the film with the original cast were shot.
This statement of Suniel surely has given some relief to Raju fans.
