HIT: The Third Case, starring Nani, has been dominating the box office since its release on May 1. The storyline and performances have impressed the audience, but the background music score has left them disappointed. Amid the criticism, composer Mickey J Meyer recently responded to the negative feedback regarding his songs in the movie HIT 3. He also compared the response to that of his 2007 film Happy Days.

HIT 3 composer Mickey J Meyer took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) and broke his silence to the backlash surrounding his music composition in the Nani starrer Telugu movie. He wrote, "A very senior technician complained when he heard Happy days score. he said, what is this garbage, just 1 guitar, 1 piano here and there,( trust me, you could elevate a lot of scenes in happy days like nobody's business more than what i did ) to the extent that they could have replaced the whole score. that was 18 years ago and i knew he was outdated in his template idea of a score. I get the same feeling now with #hit3 score. It's a strange feeling. I feel great things coming my way! criticism will always be there, But the choice of words some reviewers are using inadvertently portrays themselves in a poor light."

Meyer revealed that he believes in taking risks which sometime pays off and sometimes not. He also clarified that he is not defending himself but expressing his thoughts.

"I am of a different mindset. I take risks, which pays off, maybe not always, make no mistake, the Score in Hit3 is successful in supporting the movie and is instrumental in the success of the movie, But not in ways some people are used to. Scene elevation is by far the easiest part of a score, Sailesh did not want over the top score, it took me a while to understand his vision, But Everyone cannot like your work. i will do what i can do. Not defending myself. Sometimes it is important to express your thoughts.( i rarely do ) but it's time for me to go back into quietness and do my job silently. I am surviving in this industry by the grace of My lord and savior Jesus Christ, and the support of the telugu audience and music lovers. To the ones who are not impressed by my work sometimes, sure, i will try to create something that you will enjoy. This is an entertainment business, you do it for others. That's the goal. Tollywood has always been my Niche and you will stop hearing my music the day i decide i am done. Until then! i Try my best," the music composer added.
