Kannada cinema has managed to mark a long-lasting imprint on its audience over the years with some blockbuster hits including 'Kantara', 'Charlie 777', 'KGF', and 'Vikrant Rona.' The recently released Kannada film 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' has emerged to be another success in the industry with fans of the film making it a trend on Twitter.
Amid the buzz of Hollywood releases, 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' has managed to captivate the attention of the audience and is running strong at the box office. The film was released on July 21 and has managed to collect Rs 25 crore at the box office. Looking at the shocking box office numbers, 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' is expected to cross Rs 30 crore mark in just 10 days.
'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' also marks to be the biggest blockbuster hit in Kannada cinema after the sensational hit 'Kantara' which was released on September 29, 2022. 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' collected Rs 1 crore on its opening day and via word-of-mouth, the film went on to witness a significant rise.
The film revolves around a campus comedy-drama induced with perfect comic timings, dialogues, and shocking twists. 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' is a film made by newcomers in the industry with the plotline of college boys in a campus hostel jolted by the death of their warden.
The film is produced by Prajwal BP, Varun Kumar, Nithin Krishnamurthy, and Arvind K Kashyap under the Gulmohar Films and Varun Studios banner. Presented by Rakshit Shetty, the music score of the film is given by Ajaneesh Loknath, whereas the cinematography is delivered by Aravind Chayagrahana.

However, the film also had its struggling story as ahead of its release 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' faced a huge controversy. Actress-turned-politician Ramya aka Divya Spandana filed a case against the makers of the film. She sent a legal notice to the team for using a clip featuring her without any consent. The decision of the court thus landed in her favor with finalizing a monetary settlement.
