Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare OTT Release Date: When the Kannada movie 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' was preparing for its release, it generated significant excitement. This was partly due to the innovative promotional activities undertaken by the team, which had garnered attention. However, this buzz did not guarantee that audiences would flock to theatres. At the time, the Kannada film industry was experiencing a severe slump, with no movie managing to attract audiences to cinemas during the first six months of the year.

While 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' appeared quite intriguing, it faced formidable competition during its release week. That week featured not one but two major Hollywood releases – 'Oppenheimer' and 'Barbie.' Despite these challenges and a legal injunction served by actress Ramya, debutant Nithin Krishnamurthy's film managed to succeed and receive a warm welcome when it hit theatres.

Backed by Rakshit Shetty, 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' exceeded expectations and became a resounding success. It not only generated revenue but also garnered the curiosity of audiences from neighbouring regions. Consequently, the team began efforts to release a Telugu dubbed version.

Simultaneously, news emerged that the original Kannada version would conclude its theatrical run and transition to an OTT platform. This development was related to Zee Network's involvement as the digital and satellite partner. Initially, there were reports suggesting an August 25 release date for the OTT platform, which appeared perplexing, considering that the Telugu version was scheduled for a theatrical release on the same day.

Subsequently, the proposed OTT release date for September 1 was also postponed. This rescheduling aimed to provide some room for the Telugu version of the film to perform in theatres. According to the latest update from Zee 5, 'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare' is now scheduled for release on their platform in September, with the 15th being the current confirmed date. It remains uncertain whether the filmmakers can negotiate with the network to extend the theatrical run, considering that the film is still attracting audiences to cinemas.
