Directed by Kim Jung Hyun, known for Crazy Love and My Fellow Citizens, and written by Kim Sun Hee, Hyper Knife brings together gripping storytelling and medical drama elements. The drama follows two exceptional neurosurgeons, Choi Deok Hui and Jung Se Ok, whose lives are deeply intertwined by past conflicts.
Choi Deok Hui is a world-renowned neurosurgeon, but he carries a complicated history with his former protégé, Jung Se Ok. Jung Se Ok was once a promising student with extraordinary surgical talent, but Choi Deok Hui had lingering doubts about her. Their differences came to a head when he permanently expelled her from his operating room during a critical surgery.
Following this incident, Jung Se Ok was forced into the shadows, eventually becoming an underground surgeon at an illegal medical facility. Fate, however, has other plans. The two surgeons find themselves face-to-face once again, leading to an intense battle of skills, ethics, and unresolved emotions.
Alongside Park Eun Bin and Sul Kyung Gu, the drama features an impressive lineup of actors: Park Byung Eun (The Bequeathed) plays Han Hyeon Ho, a compassionate anesthesiologist who supports Jung Se Ok. Yoon Chan Young (All of Us Are Dead) takes on the role of Seo Yeong Ju, a fiercely loyal ally who stands by Jung Se Ok.
With its blend of thrilling medical cases, intense character dynamics, and emotional confrontations, Hyper Knife is expected to be a must-watch. The tension between Park Eun Bin’s and Sul Kyung Gu’s characters adds depth to the story, making it all the more engaging.
