Bollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz has opened up about the transformative journey of motherhood, her supportive partner Michael Dolan, and her anticipation for a fulfilling 2024, both personally and professionally in an interview with ETimes. The year 2023 marked a significant chapter of new beginnings for Bollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz, as she welcomed her son, Koa Phoenix Dolan, with partner Michael Dolan in August. 

Reflecting on the whirlwind of 2023, Ileana revealed, "Most of 2023 was around my pregnancy and moving base here (the US). I am very thankful to my mom for being there for me; I couldn’t have done anything without her." The actress acknowledged facing some complications during her pregnancy, prompting her to take a break despite initially planning to work. She described the experience as a "big happy bubble" and emphasized the transformative impact of having a child, stating, "It is just crazy how much your life shifts when you have a child."

The conversation turned to the topic of postpartum depression, with Ileana expressing the challenges of this real and often overwhelming experience. She credited her strong support system at home and a team of caring doctors for helping her navigate through it. Addressing speculation around her relationship and marriage, Ileana maintained a level of mystery, stating, "There’s so much speculation. Let’s just leave it at that. It is nice to have a tiny bit of mystery." She emphasized her discomfort with people talking negatively about her partner and family, expressing gratitude for Michael Dolan's unwavering support during this phase of her life.

When asked about her partner Michael, Ileana described him as "absolutely lovely" and a consistent source of support since the day they met. Looking ahead to 2024, Ileana expressed anticipation for an eventful year, not only in terms of her growing family but also professionally. She was last seen in the 2021 film 'Big Bull' opposite Abhishek Bachchan.
