Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda and Viineet Kumar Siingh recently attended the Jaat movie's theme song premiere event in Delhi on Monday. During the event, Jagran English asked Sunny Deol if he brought Gadar's energy for this action movie or did he surrender to director's vision.
Sunny Deol, in response stated that he is director's actor who refuses to keep himself first when prompted by Jagran English. "Main jab bhi koi film karta hoon, I'm a director's actor. Mein kabhi apne aap ko aage nahi lekar aata. Humare kaam hai ki director is the captain, kahaani is the hero, woh lekar aaye hai and humein unki baat sunni hai (I'm the director's actor whenever I do a film. I never keep myself forward. We have to understand that the director is the captain, the story is the hero and we should always listen to them), " he said.
Sunny Deol further continued, "Humein yeh dekhna hai ki hum apne aap ko uss level tak kese lekar jaaye ki woh character ekdum real hojaye aur log usmein yakeen karle taaki kahani ubhar ke bahar aaye. I think... mein toh aise hi kaam karta hoon (We as actors have to make sure that we take the character to a level that it looks real and people believe it. I think I work exactly like this)."

For the unversed, the audience went wild when Sunny Deol uprooted a handpump in a neighbouring Indian country and demonstrated that both love and war are fair. The makers created Gadar 2, the sequel to the 2001 historical drama Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, in 2023 because the movie made a lasting impression on viewers. The sequel went on to break multiple box office records because of its capacity to appeal to a raw, action-packed entertainment style, a powerful patriotic narrative and nostalgia for the original.
