Jailer Box Office Collection Day 2: The fervour surrounding Rajinikanth's recent release 'Jailer' continues to persist. Anticipation for the action-packed film was high even before its release, and the enthusiasm carried over to the second day as audiences continued to flood theatres for the film's screening. However, following a strong opening day performance, the film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, saw a dip in its earnings.
Rajinikanth's movie made a spectacular debut in cinemas on August 10, receiving an enthusiastic reception from fans who celebrated with fireworks and showered petals on the superstar's poster. This film represents Rajinikanth's first-ever partnership with Dilipkumar, and it features prominent actors like Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar as well.
Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst, posted the box office earnings for the second day in Tamil Nadu on Twitter. After minting Rs 48.35 crore on day 1, as per early estimates, the movie earned Rs 27 crore on day 2 and recorded an overall occupancy rate of 78 per cent. Therefore, the movie’s total collection now stands at Rs 75.35 crore.
Reportedly, the movie has achieved the biggest opening of 2023 in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Although there appears to be a slight drop in figures on day 2, the collections remain exceptionally impressive. This dip in figures could potentially be attributed to the simultaneous release of two prominent Bollywood films, 'Gadar 2' and 'OMG 2.'
