Jailer Box Office Collection Day 3: Once again, Rajinikanth, the superstar, has proven his status as "Thalaivar" by showcasing his unmatched skill to ignite the box office. On August 10, his latest film 'Jailer,' achieved an impressive feat by accumulating Rs 35 crore on Saturday, as indicated by preliminary estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk. This performance set the tone for a remarkable weekend to come.

As a result, the net collections of 'Jailer' in India soared to Rs 109.10 crore. The film's performance surpassed the predictions of trade analysts, who anticipated a Saturday earning of around Rs 30 crore. Consequently, the movie crossed the impressive milestone of Rs 100 crore in the domestic market within a mere three days of its release.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie also achieved an aggregate Tamil occupancy rate of 83.70 per cent on Saturday. In the morning shows, the film experienced a 67.89 per cent occupancy within the Tamil market. As the day unfolded, the percentages progressively climbed, reaching 85.18 per cent for afternoon screenings, 89.70 per cent for evening screenings, and an impressive 92.04 per cent for night showings.

During this weekend, three significant films hit the theatres: Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2,' Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2,' and Chiranjeevi's 'Bhola Shankar.' 'Gadar 2' managed to secure an approximate nett of Rs 43 crore, 'OMG 2' collected Rs 14.50 crore, and Bhola Shankar earned Rs 7 crore on their respective second days. This highlights the fact that 'Jailer' is on track to experience a remarkable opening weekend.

Apart from Rajinikanth, the cast of 'Jailer' includes Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vinayakan, and various other actors. The film's music is crafted by Anirudh Ravichander, with popular tracks like 'Kaavaalaa' and 'Hukum' gaining immense popularity and topping the charts.

At the age of 72, Rajinikanth, renowned for his performances in films such as 'Robot' and 'Kaala,' takes on the role of Muthu 'Tiger' Pandian in 'Jailer.' This character is a retired cop and former prison warden. Muthu is also a grandfather to a spirited young boy and is known for his unique methods of dealing with villains, involving actions like beheadings and fatal stabbings.

His proficiency lies in neutralising people who endanger his family. Muthu also leverages a vast circle of questionable associates, brought to life by a varied array of actors and prominent figures, who assist him in removing the threats.
