Jewel Thief Teaser: Siddharth Anand is bringing back the heist genre in style with his latest project, Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins, starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. Directed by Robbie Grewal and Kookie Gulati, the film is produced under the banner of Marflix Pictures by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand. Currently being filmed in Budapest, this high-octane thriller is set to be a direct-to-digital release on Netflix.

The announcement of the project came through Siddharth Anand's social media in May 2024, where he shared a nostalgic picture with Saif Ali Khan, captioning it, "Back on set with my first hero! How can nothing change!" This reunion marks their first collaboration in 17 years, having previously worked together on Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).

Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins revolves around a master jewel thief who is hired by a formidable crime lord to steal The African Red Sun, one of the world's most elusive diamonds. However, the meticulously planned heist takes an unforeseen turn, leading to chaos, deception, and shifting alliances in a deadly game of survival. Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat will be seen locking horns in what promises to be an intense battle of wits.

This project also marks Siddharth Anand's streaming debut. Speaking about the venture, producers Siddharth and Mamta Anand expressed their enthusiasm, stating, "We at Marflix are thrilled to make our streaming debut with Netflix through The Jewel Thief. This film has been a labour of love, combining action, suspense and intrigue to craft an edge-of-the-seat cinematic experience. Partnering with Netflix allows us to share this thrilling journey with audiences worldwide, redefining how stories are experienced." The release date of the movie has not yet been announced.
