Anna Ben has captivated audiences with her portrayal of Kyra in the pan-Indian film, Kalki 2898 AD. The movie, directed by Nag Ashwin, boasts a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, making it a true representation of Indian cinema.
Anna Ben's Kyra’s fate in the second half of Kalki 2898 AD hints at her death. However, fan theories suggest otherwise. In a conversation with News18, when asked if Kyra will return in the sequel, Anna said, “I’ve been wondering the same. During the shoot, I became friends with the ADs who were rooting for my character. I asked Nagi sir, but he just smiled and said, ‘I don’t know. Maybe. Let’s see.’ So, I guess we’ll have to wait and watch. I’ll be very happy if she comes back.”
Anna Ben also expressed her joy and pride in being part of a film that beautifully represents the Malayalam film industry. “It’s amazing that we have an Indian film representing us globally. Every aspect of the film, from the casting to the technicians involved, reflects the diversity of Indian cinema,” she said.
She shared that her industry colleagues, like actor Manju Warrier and scriptwriter Syam Pushkaran, were thrilled to see her and Shobana in the film. “My colleagues from the industry were so happy to see me and Shobana Ma’am representing Kerala. Even though it’s a small part, I’ve received a lot of love and support,” she added.
One of the highlights for Anna was Dulquer Salmaan’s cameo in the film. She revealed that his presence thrilled the Malayalam audience. “Dulquer’s not just a Malayalam star anymore; he’s a national star. His involvement in the project brought a lot of excitement because he has a huge fan base,” she stated.
Anna recalled the buzz when the film was announced, and there were speculations about Dulquer’s role. “When his face appeared on screen, the audience went crazy. It made me proud to be part of the same industry, represented so beautifully,” she shared.
Kalki 2898 AD has truly embraced the pan-Indian spirit, featuring cameos by Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur and others.
