Kareena Kapoor Khan Starrer Veere Di Wedding’s Sequel Coming Soon, Here’s What We Know

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor led 'Veere Di Wedding' was released in 2018 and was directed by Rhea Kapoor. The filmmaker is currently working with Kareena Kapoor Khan in 'The Crew' co-starring Tabu and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.

While the team is busy gearing up for the release of 'The Crew' next year, Rhea Kapoor is planning the sequel of her 2018 release 'Veere Di Wedding' which also featured Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a close source of the film said, "Veere Di Wedding is a very special project for the makers, and they have already set the ball rolling for the sequel. So Veere Di Wedding 2 is being made, and the idea and concept have already been locked. However, the script is still being written, and the final draft should be ready in a few months. Once that is done, they will start looking at the casting and other logistics. The movie will roll next year."

Earlier, Rhea Kapoor opened up about the sequel of 'Veere Di Wedding' stating that she was surprised to see the film collect high numbers at the box office. She said, "When that happened I felt so good, because I was like people underestimate the strength of the female audience, who are very loyal. They watch films over and over again."

She further said, "So that's when I made up my mind that I am not going to rush into anything that's predictable. I am going to go and do things the way I have always done them, but the one thing that I will do is I will justify the potential strength of this audience."

'Veere Di Wedding' revolved around four childhood friends dealing with their adult love life as one gets double thoughts about marrying her boyfriend, one runs from her house and marries a foreigner, another one is desperate in search of a perfect husband, and the last character becomes a divorce carefree individual.
