Ayushmann Khurrana finally revealed his face essaying the role of glamorous Pooja in his upcoming film 'Dream Girl 2.' The actor unveiled the new poster of the film looking at his real self in the mirror as he applies lipstick and can also be seen in his Pooja avatar, dressed as a woman.
Sharing the poster on Instagram, Ayushmann Khurrana wrote, "Yeh toh sirf pehli jhalak hai. (This is just the first look) Objects in the mirror are more khoobsurat than they appear! #DreamGirl2on25Aug #25AugustHogaMast #OneMonthToGo."

As soon as he shared the poster his wife Tahira Kashyap dropped a series of heart eyed emoticons and a fire emoji in the comment section giving her reaction to his new look. Actor Darshan Kumaar was also seen showering hearts in the comment section with a fire emoji.
On the other hand, fans were surprised seeing his new avatar and commented, "How can a man look so beautiful with a wig, makeup and skirt!" Commenting on his caption, a fan wrote, "Hero ki bike k side mirror me Jo likha rhta h ayushman ne use hi chhap diya (Ayushmann used what is written on the rear mirror of the hero's bike)." Another comment read: "@ayushmannk you could seriously become a heroine in a regular movie too. You look a lot prettier than some girls cast these days."

Just like the first installment, 'Dream Girl 2' will also be directed by Raaj Shaandilya, however, the sequel will have a new female lead i.e. Ananya Panday, replacing Nushrratt Bharuccha.
In the first installment, Ayushmann Khurrana essayed the role of a call center employee talking to clients in a female voice. The film also starred Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles and collected around Rs 200 crore at the box office.

The film will hit theaters on August 25 and was postponed as it was earlier gearing up for a July 2023 release, due to some delay in the VFX department.
