Sreeleela is all set to make her mark in Bollywood alongside Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu's upcoming romantic musical drama. The film's makers recently shared the first look of the lead pair, generating immense excitement among fans. Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram to share the first glimpse of the film, which has sparked speculation that it might be the third installment of the popular Aashiqui franchise.

Although the film's title is yet to be announced, Kartik revealed that it will hit the theaters on Diwali 2025, making it a festive release to look forward to. The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series and its shoot is expected to begin soon.

The first look features Kartik Aaryan as a brooding lover singing Tu Meri Zindagi Hai on stage. The teaser also features glimpses of Sreeleela and Kartik's romantic moments, highlighting their sizzling chemistry, with a release date set for Diwali 2025.

Earlier, Anurag Basu put to rest the rumours surrounding Triptii Dimri's exit from his upcoming film starring Kartik Aaryan. There were speculations that Dimri was no longer a part of the project because her image didn't align with the role. However, in a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Basu dismissed these claims, attributing Dimri's departure to a more practical reason - unavailability of dates. 

Basu clarified that the actual reason for Dimri's exit was due to scheduling conflicts, and not because of any issues with her image or suitability for the role. He also revealed that the film's female lead has not been finalized yet and will be announced within a week. With the shoot scheduled to commence this month, Basu's upcoming project is generating significant buzz and fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the female lead.
