Kdramas Releasing In January 2025: The new year is kicking off with a stellar line-up of K-dramas that promise to keep fans entertained. From space-set romances to gripping medical dramas, January 2025 offers something for everyone. Here’s a look at some of the must-watch Kdramas debuting in the coming year. 

Love Scout

This romantic workplace drama stars Han Ji-min and Lee Joon-hyuk. Han plays Kang Ji-yun, a headhunting company boss whose life outside work is a mess, while Lee portrays her skilled and empathetic secretary, Yoo Eun-ho. Catch this drama on SBS starting January 3.

When the Stars Gossip

A highly anticipated space romance, this drama features Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin. Lee plays Gong Ryong, a visiting obstetrician, while Gong portrays Eve Kim, the commander of a space station. Directed by Park Shin-woo, it will premiere on tvN/Netflix on January 4.

The Queen Who Crowns

Set in the Goryeo dynasty, this historical drama stars Cha Joo-young as Queen Won Kyung and Lee Hyun-wook as King Taejong. Their turbulent relationship unfolds amidst political intrigue. The series airs on tvN from January 6.

Lee Se-young and Na In-woo lead this heartfelt drama about reconnecting with one’s roots. Lee plays Ji Gang-hee, an interior designer returning to her rural hometown, where she meets her first love, Cheon Yeon-su. Tune in to MBC starting January 10.

Unmasked

A gripping investigative drama, Kim Hye-soo stars as Oh So-ryong, a journalist fighting to save her news program. Joined by Jung Sung-il and Joo Jong-hyuk, the show delves into newsroom politics and unsolved mysteries. It premieres on Disney+ on January 15.

Study Group

This high school drama stars Hwang Min-hyun as Yun Ga-min, a student struggling with academics but excelling in street smarts. With his study group facing bullies, Ga-min steps up to protect them. The show will stream on TVING starting January 23.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

Ju Ji-hoon headlines this medical drama as Baek Kang-hyuk, a trauma surgeon working in conflict zones and a university hospital. Directed by Lee Do-yoon, it will be available on Netflix from January 24.
