Kesari 2 vs Kesari Box Office Collection

Kesari Chapter 2 opened at the box office with a lower opening than its predecessor, Kesari. The latter launched at about Rs 21 crore nett domestically and was based on the Battle of Saragarhi (1897). Kesari 2, which starred Akshay Kumar as a soldier, will be watched to see if it beats the movie's lifetime run.

Kesari 2 is based on what happened following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in April 1919 and features significant roles from Ananya Panday and R Madhavan. The patriotic appeal of the movie may draw more people to theatres, particularly in the northern market.
