Yash's upcoming film Toxic has been grabbing headlines for its casting. Recent reports suggested that Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sai Pallavi, and Kiara Advani were in talks to star opposite Yash in the film. Now, it appears that the casting has been finalised. Kiara is reported to feature in a significant role alongside Yash in the upcoming film. Officially announced last year, the film marks Yash's first project after KGF 2.
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film's title sparked numerous speculations about the lead actress. While recent reports suggested Kareena Kapoor Khan's involvement, a new report now indicates that Kiara has also agreed to be part of the project. If reports are to be believed, the movie will feature three female leads, with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani already confirmed. However, the official announcement will be made by the makers at an appropriate juncture.
"The film will feature three actresses with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani already on board. However, the makers will make an official announcement at the right time. The insider also revealed that Kareena will be playing Yash’s sister in the film," PinkVilla stated. Additionally, there are speculations that Shruti Haasan is under consideration as the third actress, particularly since she sang the theme song of the film. However, Yash and Geethu have not yet responded to these reports.
If confirmed, Toxic would serve as Kiara's debut in the Kannada film industry. Currently, she is also engaged in filming a Telugu project titled Game Changer with Ram Charan.
About Toxic
In the film, Yash appears to be embracing an anti-hero persona. Produced in collaboration with KVN Productions, the movie will be released under Yash's banner, Monster Mind Creations. Generating significant anticipation with its announcement video, 'Toxic' is expected to be a high-budget production, marking Yash's 19th film.
The film's tagline, 'A fairytale for grown-ups,' was unveiled along with its title in December last year. Yash also shared a teaser video providing a glimpse of his character, showcasing various anti-heroes, including the iconic DC Comics villain Joker, engulfed in flames, gradually revealing Yash's appearance in the film. In the video, Yash is portrayed with a pot-belly, a retro hat, wielding a machine gun, and casually holding a cigar.
