The bereaved family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron has announced a press conference scheduled for March 27, 2025, at 1:30 PM KST in Seoul. The family’s legal representative, attorney Bu Ji Seok, revealed that they plan to present evidence surrounding the timeline of Kim Sae Ron’s relationship with actor Kim Soo Hyun.
According to reports from Hankyung, the family claims to possess proof that the two were involved in a relationship starting in November 2015 — a time when Kim Sae Ron was still a minor. This claim was first brought to light by the controversial YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, which alleged that the pair dated for six years.

The upcoming press conference is expected to not only disclose this supposed evidence but also announce legal action against what the family describes as a “reckless spread of false information” targeting them. The family previously mentioned undergoing digital forensics on old photos, and many anticipate that the findings will be part of the presentation.
Kim Soo Hyun, on the other hand, has acknowledged the relationship but maintains that it began only after Kim Sae Ron reached adulthood. With the family’s impending evidence release, public sentiment seems to lean in support of the bereaved family, with many netizens criticizing Kim Soo Hyun and his management for their handling of the situation.
Online communities have been buzzing with reactions, with comments such as, “Hwaiting. Don’t ever go easy on them,” and “See? Things would’ve ended if he just admitted it and issued a public apology along with retiring. Tsk tsk. Kim Soo Hyun OUT.” Others expressed continued support for the family, hoping the press conference will bring closure to the ongoing controversy.
