Kim Sae-ron’s father has blamed a YouTuber for his daughter’s emotional distress, stating that it played a role in her tragic passing. The late actress was found dead at her Seongsu-dong residence on February 16, with authorities confirming no signs of foul play.
At the funeral held on February 17, Kim Sae-ron’s grieving father addressed the media, expressing his anguish over how online scrutiny affected his daughter. He alleged that a YouTuber, identified as Lee Jin-ho, had posted a video that worsened Sae-ron’s mental health. The video criticized her for sharing wedding-themed photographs and speculated about her withdrawal from the public eye.
Titled "Kim Sae Ron’s self-deletion again... Gone into hiding after marriage rumours? Her father revealed that the family is collecting evidence to take legal action against the YouTuber, who had also made claims about Sae-ron’s financial struggles, stating that she was forced to work in a café.
