Kim Soo Hyun remains committed to his ongoing projects despite facing public backlash over recent allegations. His upcoming action thriller drama Knock Off, co-starring Jo Bo Ah, is proceeding with its filming schedule and promotional plans as originally set.
The controversy began after a YouTube channel, Garosero Research Institute, released recordings from Kim Sae Ron’s aunt, making allegations against the Queen of Tears actor. This fueled online speculation and led to calls from some netizens demanding Kim Soo Hyun step down from his roles or compensate the production team for potential losses.
However, according to a report by OSEN on March 12, the production team of Knock Off confirmed that filming is moving forward without interruptions. An official from the team stated, "The actors are currently filming on-site as scheduled." They further emphasized that no changes had been made to the filming timeline or upcoming production conference, though the exact date for the conference remains undecided.
Despite the controversy, the production team appears determined to keep things on track. K-netizens, on the other hand, expressed mixed reactions. While some voiced support for the drama, others took to online forums like theqoo to express disappointment and call for Kim Soo Hyun’s withdrawal.
Comments ranged from skepticism to criticism, with one netizen saying, "Let’s just see how they handle this," and another stating, "Hope he pays the fines to the production staff. He’s rich anyway from all those appearance fees." Some even demanded that he retire from the industry if the allegations are proven true.
