Kushi Box Office Collection Day 11: Vijay Deverakonda-Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Latest Venture Struggles To Stay In Theatres; Sees Crucial Monday Drop

‘Kushi’ stars Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and stood out to be one of the most anticipated films of 2023. The film witnessed a solid weekend opening, however soon saw a crucial dip on its first Monday, and since then the film is constantly raking low numbers everyday. ‘Kushi’ is helmed by Shiva Nirvana and marks the second collaboration between the lead actor after ‘Mahanati.’

‘Kushi’ minted only Rs 0.50 Crore on Day 11, taking the total domestic box office collection to be around Rs 44.60 Crore. The worldwide collection of the film has already crossed Rs 60 Crore. Before Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, the Telugu version of the film registered a meek 20 percent occupancy, with night shows commanding the most interest of around 24 percent. Telugu occupancy in Delhi and Mumbai was charted around 11 and 10 percent, but the region of Kakinada registered the highest occupancy of 48 percent.

Both Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda were constantly coming off on screen with disappointing ventures. Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in ‘Liger’ alongside Ananya Panday, which was a huge flop at the box office. Samantha also managed to deliver two back-to-back solo flops, i.e. ‘Yashoda’ and ‘Shaakuntalam.’ This is the second time the actress is working with Shiva Nirvana. Earlier the two were seen in ‘Maijili’ which also featured her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.
