Madhuri Dixit, who debuted in the digital space with The Fame Game, is all set to return to the OTT platform again. As per a recent report by Mid Day, the actress will be seen as a serial killer in a psychological thriller. The report also suggested that the project will be directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and has been titled Mrs Deshpande. It has been also said that the project will be the remake of a French series. As per the reports, the casting is underway and Madhuri Dixit will be seen in a dark role. 

A source told Mid Day, “It’s titled Mrs Deshpande. The show tells the story of how the police hire a serial killer and pick her brains to understand another serial killer’s modus operandi and nab him. The show is a remake of a French series.” 

“The casting is underway. The team is excited to present Madhuri in a dark role,” the source added. 

Madhuri Dixit was last seen in Maja Ma. Anand Tiwari’s directorial also stars Simone Singh, Ritwik Bhowmik, Barkha Singh, Simran Nerurkar, Srishti Shrivastava, Gajraj Rao, Sheeba Chaddha and Rajit Kapur in significant roles. Released in 2022, the movie is currently streaming on Prime Video. 

In the same year, Madhuri Dixit also made her digital debut with The Fame Game on Netflix. In the web series, the actress was seen in a dark role. In the show, the diva can be seen playing the role of a famous actress, who planned her own disappearance. However, after she went missing there were painful truths about herself and her family were revealed.  The show also features Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi, Manav Kaul, Gagan Arora, Sanjay Kapoor, Rajshri Deshpande, Danish Sood, Suhasini Mulay, Ayesha Kaduskar and Makarand Deshpande in prominent roles. It was produced by Karan Johar and Somen Mishra.
