Maharaja Box Office Collection Day 4 (China): Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil action thriller movie has been roaring at the box office in China. The film which was initially released in India on June 14 this year, hit the silver screen in China in 40,000 screens on November 29. On the opening day, it smashed the box office record by securing Rs 4.60 crore which is USD 0.54 million. Since then the movie saw a drop in numbers but still managed to maintain a strong pace at the ticket windows.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 3.00 crore (USD 0.35 million) on Day 4. The net collection of Maharaja in China stands at Rs 29.50 crore which is equal to USD 3.48 million. The worldwide collection of the movie is Rs 135.58 crore. The Indian gross collection of Maharaja is 81.83 crore. In India, the movie was a huge blockbuster.

The movie was made on a budget of Rs 20 crore. It has been directed by Nithilan Saminathan and produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy.


About Maharaja

The story revolves around a middle-aged man who files a strange complaint to the police to find a dustbin named Lakshmi. However, it has been found that it's his daughter for him he is fighting against the culprits who raped her. Later in the climax, it is revealed the victim is the daughter of the main antagonist. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Sachana Namidass, Divyabharathi and Singampuli in key roles. After its theatrical run in India, the film is currently streaming on Netflix. It also remained in the top 10 trending movies in India on Netflix for months.
