Vikrant Massey recently reacted to his viral ‘retirement’ post which shocked his fans and industry people. The actor has created a buzz on social media since the announcement he made on Monday. Now, Vikrant has clarified his statement and stated that he is taking a break from showbiz to focus on family and health. Definitely, his clarification will give relief and happiness to his fans and well-wishers. Notably, the actor will appear in two movies in 2025 which include Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
In a statement, Vikrant said "Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off, want to better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment. My post has been misinterpreted. That I am quiting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I would be back when the time feels right."
On December 2, Vikrant shared a long note on Instagram which read, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise its time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
“So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted,” he added.
Vikrant Massey was last seen in The Sabarmati Report which released in theatres on November 15, 2024. The movie also stars Raashii Khanna, Riddhi Dogra, Barkha Singh, Nazneen Patni and Aryan Ardent in key roles.
On December 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh along with other ministers watched The Sabarmati Report. The cast also accompanied the Ministers in the screening. Vikrant wrote on Instagram “A day to remember for the rest of my life. Eternally grateful to the Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji for sparing the time to watch our movie. Your words of appreciation shall never be forgotten. #TheSabarmatiReport.”
