Divyabharathi has been making headlines due to rumours about her dating her co-star GV Prakash Kumar. Divyabharathi is a well-known personality in Tamil cinema for her outstanding performances in movies and series. She hails from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where she completed her education. To pursue her passion for acting, she moved to Bangalore and also tried her hand at modeling.

She made her debut in the Tamil film industry in 2021 with the romantic courtroom drama movie Bachelor, where she played the female lead role of Subbulakshmi aka Subbu, alongside GV Prakash Kumar. Her performance earned her widespread recognition. After this, she appeared in Madhil Mel Kaadhal (2022), starring Mugen Rao. Besides her film credits, she also worked in the Tamil web series Cheran's Journey, which featured Prasanna, Aari Arujunan, Kalaiyarasan, and many others. She also worked with Vijay Sethupathi in the action thriller Maharaja, which became a hit movie of 2024.
Divyabharathi reunited with GV Prakash Kumar in 2025 for the movie Kingston. She played a lead role in Kamal Prakash’s directorial. Additionally, she is set to make her Telugu debut with the movie GOAT opposite Sudigali Sudheer.

Since 2024, Divyabharathi has faced backlash for being blamed for GV Prakash Kumar’s divorce from Saindhavi. Divyabharathi has broken her silence on these rumours and issued an official statement on her Instagram stories, clarifying that she has no connection to Prakash’s family issues. She wrote, “I would never date an actor, and certainly not a married man. I've remained silent until now, believing baseless rumors didn't warrant my attention. However, this has crossed a line.”
