Mirzapur 3 release date: India’s most-loved Hindi web series Mirzapur is gearing up for its much-anticipated Season 3. Earlier, the reports stated that Season 3 would be out in June 2024, but the latest teaser announcement by the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video has confused fans. It seems like 'Mirzapur Season 3' is not going to release in the month of June as it has faced another postponement.
Mirzapur Season 3 Postponed?
On Sunday, Amazon Prime Video unveiled a teaser video featuring actor Pramod Pathak, who plays JP Yadav in Mirzapur. In the new promotional video, Yadav is seen discussing a specific date. When asked about it twice, he responds with a stern look and states that the date is August 22. He emphatically assures, "Likh ke le lo," meaning "Mark my words." When questioned if the date is definite, he glares again, clearly irritated by the doubt cast on his authority. Annoyed, Yadav asserts, "It's a politician's word," urging people to trust him. With that, he concludes his message and signs off.
As fans were left disappointed once again, they took to the comments section and dropped reactions. A fan commented, “Politician ki juban hai to jhuth hi hoga,” a person wrote, “21-22 June confirm,” another one wrote, “Brother, I think these people will confirm this reel with Munna brother in the end............ And maybe Munna brother's come back too,” a netizen commented, “Politician's tongues can speak anything, it is not possible to believe them ... Yes 22 August 2025,” others also dropped similar comments.
The premiere of ‘Mirzapur’ took place on November 16, 2018, and it quickly garnered a positive reaction from viewers. While audience reviews were generally favorable, critical opinions were more mixed. The acting, especially Pankaj Tripathi's performance, was widely praised and contributed significantly to the show's appeal. This led to ‘Mirzapur’ becoming one of India's most watched web series, ranking just behind ‘Sacred Games’ in terms of popularity.
The eagerly awaited second season made its debut on October 23, 2020. Looking ahead, anticipation is building for the third season, which is expected to arrive in 2024. The cast is currently preparing, suggesting that production is moving forward.
