The national costume round at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico has garnered a lot of attention. One of the highlights was India’s representative Rhea Singha who looked stunning in a costume inspired by ‘The Golden Bird’. She was crowned Miss Universe India earlier this year which gained a lot of praise from social media users. Vietnamese designer Nguyen Ngoc Tu has drafted the costume. The designer also talked about the same on Instagram. 

While taking to Instagram, Nguyen Ngoc Tu said “NGUYEN NGOC TU x GOLDEN BIRD - MISS UNIVERSE INDIA 2024 🇮🇳. With unwavering trust from the MUI National Director, Nguyen Ngoc Tu has meticulously crafted an audacious plan for this trip by the Indian representative. This is not merely an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations, but also a journey deeply imbued with cultural and historical significance, painting a vibrant portrait of India during its golden age. With a far-sighted vision, Ngoc Tu has drawn inspiration from the image of the Golden Bird – a symbol of prosperity, wealth, and affluence that India once attained in its past.”

Notably, Rhea Singha could not reach the top 5 for the 73rd Miss Universe pageant. The competition will be held in Mexico on November 17. Mexico, Nigeria, Thailand, Venezuela, and Denmark are in the top 5.

Singha is 19 years old from Gujarat who became Miss Universe India 2024. She holds titles including Miss Teen Earth 2023 and Diva's Miss Teen Gujarat 2020. She competed for India in the Miss Teen Universe 2023 pageant and was in the top six.
