'Mission Impossible' dropped its seventh installment recently, witnessing a drop in collections with its first Monday blues. Since then the Tom Cruise starrer has managed to put up with decent numbers in comparison to its opening weekend numbers.
The film is helmed by Christopher McQuarrie and was released last Wednesday completing a solid 6-day extended weekend earning around Rs 70 crore. The estimated Wednesday collection of the film accounted for Rs 4 crore after collecting Rs 4.35 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 5 crore on Monday.
The fall in the collection is still decent, where the running haul in the Indian measure of the film stands around Rs 73.85 crore in seven days. The film is the highest-grossing Mission Impossible film in India, as the sixth installment collected around Rs 80 crore. However, the seventh edition is expected to cross the Rs 80 crore mark but will have to face tough competition from tomorrow, as Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' and Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' will hit theaters and are already creating a tough buzz in the Indian market.
'Mission Impossible 7' is also to become the second Hollywood film this year to cross Rs 100 crore mark, after 'FastX' which ended its lifetime run with Rs 108 crore mark. Globally though the film has earned $235 million in just five days and stands to be one of the best global openings of the year.
