Ikkis First Review: Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is special because it will be Dharmendra's final feature film. A special screening of the war drama was recently held in Mumbai, and a number of celebrities attended. Ikkis is scheduled to open in theaters on January 1, 2026. Mukesh Chhabra, the casting director, was among those who saw the film. Later, he posted on his X (formerly Twitter) on how moving it was to watch 'Dharam ji' on screen.

Ikkis narrates the tale of heroism of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who made the ultimate sacrifice at the age of 21 during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra expressed his honest views regarding the the movie. He expressed surprise at Jaideep Ahlawat's performance while praising the performances of the cast members of Ikkis.

"Just watched Ikkis — a film made purely from the heart. Gentle, honest storytelling that stays with you long after it ends. Dharmendra sir… what grace, what depth. If this is your last film, it truly breaks the heart. You’ve left us with something deeply emotional and important. You will be missed, sir. And Jaideep Ahlawat — hats off. I genuinely didn’t expect this, and I’m glad to be surprised. A warm welcome to Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia — both were beautiful on screen. Endearing eyes, lovely chemistry. Ikkis director Sriram Raghavan recently disclosed Dharmendra's connection to the forthcoming war biopic. He revealed to news agency ANI that the late actor was already feeling under the weather when the movie's final dubbing took place in October. "I met him in October. That time he was okay, but he was not too well. He did watch the first half and waited for the second half. I wanted him to see the film in its entirety. Somehow, that couldn't happen. He is not here to enjoy the work he had done, and people appreciate that. That is a regret we have."

Ikkis Special Screening

Ikkis actors Simar Bhatia and Agastya Nanda, who will be making their debut, arrived together and posed for pictures on the red carpet. Jaideep Ahlawat, who is a key character in the war drama arrived fashionably late for the premiere. He chose a grey jacket over a black T-shirt and matching pants for the evening.

Sunny Deol, who seemed visible emotional, took the time to greet the photographers, also attended the movie screening. He even posed next to his father's poster. Bobby Deol, his wife Tanya, their son Aryaman, and cousin Abhay Deol marked their presence at the Ikkis special screening in Mumbai.

Ikkis will hit the big screens on January 1, 2026.
