The makers of Stree have unveiled the teaser for their latest horror-comedy film, 'Munjya.' This upcoming film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, is notable for featuring India’s first CGI protagonist and is set in the same universe as Maddock Films' previous hits like 'Stree' and 'Bhediya.'

The over-a-minute-long teaser introduces viewers to Munjya, a CGI character who comes to life in a remote forest. The teaser begins with Munjya being drawn to the catchy tune of 'Munni Badnam Hui' from Salman Khan’s 2010 blockbuster film 'Dabangg.'

The character's fascination with the song leads him into a city where he searches for the source of the music. This curiosity lands him in a room where a group of people are watching the music video on TV. When the television is turned off, Munjya becomes enraged and attacks the people in the room. The teaser ends with an ominous warning, “Munnis Beware. He is coming.”

The makers have promised a unique blend of horror and comedy, aimed at entertaining Gen Z, kids, and families alike. The film’s teaser has already created a buzz on social media, with the official handle of Maddock Films posting on X (formerly Twitter), “Munnis beware! Aa raha hai #Munjya! Makers of Stree bring to you the perfect blend of comedy and horror to beat the summer heat for Gen Z, kids, and the whole family! The trailer is out in 3 days, watch out! #Munjya TEASER OUT NOW.”

'Munjya' features an impressive ensemble cast including Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj, known for his role in the 'Baahubali' movies. The film's screenplay is written by Yogesh Chandekar, with additional screenplay and dialogues by Niren Bhatt. The music for 'Munjya' is composed by the talented duo Sachin-Jigar, and the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The makers have described Munjya as an eponymous mythical creature from Indian folklore. This intriguing premise, combined with the innovative use of CGI for the main character, sets 'Munjya' apart as a movie with a unique concept in Indian cinema.
