Nayanthara To Play Mookuthi Amman Again In Its Sequel; Fans Upset Of RJ Balaji’s Absence In Movie

Nayanthara has been confirmed to play the lead role in the sequel of Mookuthi Amman. This confirmation came after several reports suggested that the makers of the film are considering the actress, Trisha Krishnan and Shruti Haasan to play the protagonist. The production house of the movie Vels Film International shared on ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter and wrote, “Let the good receive her blessings Let the evil be crushed at her feet Lady Superstar #Nayanthara is back to enthrall us in #MookuthiAmman2 @IshariKGanesh @VelsFilmIntl @Rowdy_Pictures.”

The first part of Mookuthi Amman was directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan. The comedy fantasy starred RJ Balaji, Smruthi Venkat, Abi Nakshathra, Nayanthara, Madhu Mailankody, Ajay Ghosh, Indhuja Ravichandran, Yashika Aannand, Abhinaya and Urvashi in key roles. The movie was released in theatres on 14th November 2020. It can be watched on Disney Plus Hotstar. For this movie, Nayanthara was nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role category at the South Indian International Movie Awards. In Mookuthi Amman, RJ Balaji has both acted and directed it which led to a lot of fame for him.
