Aamir Khan was spotted in the commentary box alongside Suresh Raina and Aakash Chopra during yesterday's match where Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Punjab Kings to claim their much-awaited victory. Aamir Khan was present at the stadium as he was promoting his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. This time, Mr Perfectionist did not seem to impress his fans as the actor faced criticism online for his ‘sleepy’ and ‘lazy’ commentary. Some netizens even called it a ‘snooze-fest.’ Moreover, online users also questioned why can’t actors stick to the basic entertainment shows for their promotion.

Since Aamir Khan’s commentary failed to impress the netizens, one social media user wrote, “Aamir Khan's presence in the commentary box has taken me into deep sleep..”. Another X user wrote, “Bhai ye Aamir Khan ko koi commentators mein se hatao #IPL2025 #RCBvsPBKS #AamirKhan #IPLFinals.” Among others, director Rahul Dholakia also made a tweet, which he soon deleted. He wrote, "Yaar picture ka promotion karo gyaan mat baato. I want KOHLI to win this year and Zinta to win next year! Both these passionate people deserve to win- for their sheer persistence!"

Reacting to his tweet, a user commented, "This is such a cheap shot." Another tweet read, "Gyaan baato, isn't that what you and SRK did the entire Raees promotions?" Seeing the negative response from online users, the National Award winner decided to delete the tweet after some time.

On being asked to name a cricket equivalent to Bollywood’s perfectionist by Suresh Raina, Aamir Khan responded, “I used to call Sachin Tendulkar a perfectionist. I feel that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are perfectionists. What a bowler he is."
