Mirzapur web series is among the most-watched shows of the OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. The show is loved for its intense drama, dark humour, and memorable characters. The makers of the web series have already shared the exciting news of making a spin-off movie based on this gripping series. Even Ali Fazal shared his excitement regarding the same and stated in an interview that the original cast will be returning in Mirzapur The Film. Now, it is being reported that the cast has welcomed two popular actors into the spin-off movie.

Mirzapur The Film, which will star Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Divyendu Sharma as Munna is expected to add two more actors to increase the drama. According to a report in Hindustan Times, actors Jitendra Kumar and Ravi Kishan have also joined the cast of the film.

“Jitendra and Ravi Kishan have joined the cast of the film. The mahurat puja of the film took place on Thursday, and they were present in the celebrations. Their characters are being kept as a big surprise for the fans. The look tests and reading sessions of the cast have already started and will continue for the next few days. Jitendra and Ravi have also joined the pre-production work. The film will go on floors next month," a source claimed in the report.

The makers announced the project in 2024 and shared a video starring Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu on social media. Shweta Tripathi will likely return as the fiercely intelligent Golu Gupta, alongside Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi. Vijay Varma, who joined the series in the second season as Shatrughan Tyagi, is also expected to be part of the film's ensemble cast.

Ali Fazal, during an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter, stated, “We are very excited. It is the OG cast and we are going at the back of the table. Back in time, I suppose. It has to be back in time because there are like some dead people walking." Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the Mirzapur Film is scheduled for release in 2026. The movie will first release in theatres, and then land on an OTT platform.
