Aditya Roy Kapur, who rose to fame with his character Rahul Jaykar from Aashiqui 2, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu. The star cast of the movie, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Konkona Sensharma, were spotted at the album launch event of the film on June 23, 2025. A video from the event has gone viral, showing Aditya Roy Kapur singing ‘Ishq Hai Ya Tharak’ song from the movie. The video was posted on Reddit with a caption, “Adi roy kapoor singing during metro in dino 2 promotions. He seems to be having so much fun."

Aditya Roy Kapur’s singing talent took the fans into nostalgia as they recalled his iconic role as Rahul Jaykar from Aashiqui 2. Drawing comparisons, a fan wrote, “Close enough... welcome back RJ.” Another user commented, “Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Rahull Jaykarr!” Someone commented, “Rahul Jaykar, is that you?” A fan also remembered Aditya’s co-star from the movie and said, “Shraddha Kapoor is missing.” Comments like, “Adi is a pookie and metro cast is fun together," filled the comment section.

It was previously announced that Aditya Roy Kapur will make his singing debut with Metro In Dino. Though the official track of ‘Ishq Hai Ya Tharak’ has not been released yet, Aditya’s vocals seem to have left his fans impressed. Upon taking the stage, the actor shared a lighthearted moment with the fans and greeted them by saying, "Hello friends, I am a newcomer, I need your support," which left the fans laughing.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro In Dino features a star-studded cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sensharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee. The movie is slated to release in cinemas on July 4, 2025.
