Ammy Virk has shown his support for the actor amidst the recent controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh's exit from Farhan Akhtar's Don 3. The Punjabi singer-actor questioned the timing of the producers, pointing out that they opted to intervene immediately after Dhurandhar's success while remaining silent during the actor's struggling box office run, in response to the conflict between Ranveer and Excel Entertainment.
According to Ammy Virk, Ranveer is being targeted now that his career is back on track after being ignored during his failures.
Ammy Virk Supports Ranveer Singh
Ammy Virk discussed the controversy surrounding Don 3 and expressed his support for Ranveer amid the ongoing repercussions over the movie in an interview with Connect Cine. The two previously collaborated on Kabir Khan's 83.
Ammy Virk supported Ranveer, saying he had total faith in the actor and did not think he could have acted improperly, despite claiming he was not aware of the specifics of the dispute. He believes that Ranveer shouldn't give the producers their money back.

The Bad Newz actor said, "I feel, when he had a few flops, then you (Excel) could have started Don 3. Then they ignored him. Now that Dhurandhar is a hit, they are asking for their money back. They can do whatever they want. Whatever they are owed of Rs 2-4 crore, take that and move on. Who is going to give Rs 45 crore?"
"These kinds of cases go nowhere. They go on for 20 years," Ammy stated, adding that this was 'not Ranveer's fault'.

About Don 3 Row
The ban on Ranveer Singh in the Don 3 row was lifted last week by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). The ban was imposed after the actor's walkout prompted complaints from Excel Entertainment and Farhan Akhtar.
It was announced in 2023 that Ranveer Singh would star in Don 3, after Shah Rukh Khan starred in Farhan's Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011). The rumours of a conflict between Ranveer, Farhan, and Ritesh Sidhwani surfaced when the actor abruptly left the movie following the success of his Dhurandhar with director Aditya Dhar in December 2025.
Farhan Akhtar complained to the FWICE last month that he had lost Rs 45 crore as a result of Ranveer Singh's departure from D.
