Annu Kapoor, well-known for his roles in films such as Jolly LLB 2, Vicky Donor, and Dream Girl is currently making headlines due to a recent comment about actress Tamannaah Bhatia. While discussing Bhatia's claim that children fall asleep to her song ‘Aaj Ki Raat,’ Kapoor referred to her body as "dudhiya badan" (milky body). This remark has led to widespread criticism from netizens, who are calling it vulgar.
Annu Kapoor in a conversation with Subhankar Mishra spoke about watching actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s song Aaj Ki Raat. When asked if he liked the actress, The Shaukeens actor replied, “Mashallah, kya dudhiya badan hai." Furthermore, when the host asked about the actress' claims that children fall asleep to her song, he stated, “Kitne umar ke bacche so jaate hain… 70 saal ke umar ka bhi baccha ho sakta hai na. Main hota toh poochta ke kitne umar ke so jaate hain. Angrezi mein bolte hain that he is 70 years old, woh 70 saal purana baccha hai… And he is 11-year-old budha.”

Annu Kapoor further said, “Behen, apne gaane se, apne shareer se, apne dudhiya chehre se humare bacchon ko sula rahi hain… Bahut achi baat hai. Desh ke upar kripa hogi agar humare desh ke bacche achhi aur swasth neend soyein. Agar aur bhi kuch ichchhain hain toh Bhagwan unko samarth kare ke unki ichchhain poori hon.” The Internet reacted strongly against this remark accusing Annu Kapoor of being ‘Sexist and Vulgar’. One user wrote, “Wth! This man gives tharki vibes." “Please be respectful. Don’t you have a daughter or grandchildren?" another user added. A third user wrote on X, “I know Annu ji personally, but such remarks are sexist and I oppose them openly." Another shared, “Ashleel hai ye." One comment also read, “What kind of language is that?" Some comments also read, “One user asked, "Apni beti ko bhi aisee hi bologe?" while another wrote, "Control annu sahab control."

For the unversed, earlier during an interview with Lallantop, Tamannaah Bhatia shared, “I can’t tell you the number of mothers that have called me up and said, ‘My child will eat food only if he hears Aaj Ki Raat.’ Because bacche apne diaper mein aise-aise hil rahe hote hain." Tamannaah further added that kids do not understand the lyrics of the song at such a tender age, but they do enjoy the music.
Meanwhile, Tamannaah had also earlier responded to comments on being 'milky beauty' while discussing her casting in the supernatural thriller Odela 2. She said, "You are saying milky beauty but why you looked at a milky beauty and thought that she can't be a Shiva Shakti? Your question has the answer in it. He [Ashok Teja] does not look at milky beauty that is to be ashamed of or feel bad about. Glamour in a woman is to be celebrated, and we women must celebrate ourselves. Then we can expect other people to celebrate us. If we look at ourselves in a certain way, then nobody can respect us." She added, "Here we have a wonderful gentleman [Ashok Teja] who does not look at women like that. He looks at women like a divine. Divine can be glamorous, lethal, and powerful. A woman can be many, many things."
