Mrunal Thakur, Adivi Sesh and Anurag Kashyap have collaborated for one of the most explosive big-screen spectacles of 2026, Dacoit. On December 18, the makers of this action thriller unveiled the racy teaser, and it has already got the audience going gaga! The film sees Mrunal step into a raw, intriguing zone, and the teaser is just a peek into the mayhem she will unfold on the big screens!
During the teaser launch event, Anurag Kashyap opened up about his experience of collaborating with Mrunal and shared that the film will be a “game-changer” for her. He recalled being very impressed by how some of the scenes turned out. He shared, "I saw two scenes. First I saw a sequence which I was not a part of. It really moved me when I saw the results. I’ve not seen Mrunal like this ever - this will be a game changer for her."
The filmmaker even opened up about Dacoit and added, "Dacoit looks like a really huge film. The impact is emotionally huge, and the love story is central to the plot. My experience working on the film was terrific."
The one-minute 31-second teaser offers glimpses into Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s intriguing characters as robbers and also portrays villains Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj, as well as Atul Kulkarni, who essays the role of a police official. The film’s teaser, featuring high-octane action sequences, racy visuals and a substantial cast, highlights that Dacoit will be a refreshing watch on the big screens. Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film heads to the theatres on March 19, 2026.
Recently, during the teaser launch event held on 18th November, Mrunal won hearts by interacting with the audience in Marathi, an opened up about her experience of working with Shaneil Deo, co-star Adivi Sesh and Anurag Kashyap - and revealed that the film let her tap into a similar shade like Love Sonia."Khoop chhan vaat-ta mala. Dacoit is a very different film, and this is my first film that I have shot in Hindi and Telugu. It was an amazing experience working with Adivi Sesh. To see Hari in this avatar is really nice, the magic that he has created on-screen. And to work with Anurag sir was such a delight. I didn’t have many scenes but whatever I did was fantastic. I feel like it was a schooling, you get to learn a lot," she shared.
