Nishaanchi, Anurag Kashyap's most recent two-part tale, has a devoted following thanks to his harsh storytelling. Since its theatrical debut earlier this year, the movie, which stars Vedika Pinto and Aaishvary Thackeray, has garnered notice. The tale of twin brothers torn between loyalty, survival, and fate has struck a chord with viewers who appreciate gripping stories because of its blend of criminality, familial strife, and emotional depth.

Nishaanchi debuted in theatres in September this year. With a promise of a follow-up, it had concluded with a cliffhanger. However, two months later, Nishaanchi 2 has been discreetly dropped on the streaming service.

Nishaanchi Parts 1 and 2 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 14.

Why Nishaanchi 2 Released On OTT Directly?

Anurag Kashyap has talked candidly about his choice to covertly release the second installment on OTT. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he said, "It was my suggestion, and our collective decision between Amazon (producers) and us."

Anurag Kashyap added, "Had the audience turned up for part 1, there is no way the second part wouldn’t have been released in cinemas. And since most of the reaction was that the film felt incomplete to everyone, it was decided to let them have the complete experience."
