Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Border 2, which stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, is getting closer to the Rs 200 crore mark despite a decline. The war drama has persevered on weekdays despite the anticipated slowdown following a strong opening weekend. The movie made Rs 19.50 crore on its first Tuesday, according to Sacnilk.

Border 2 got off to a strong start with a first-day collection of Rs 30 crore. The business continued to grow with Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, receipts reached a peak of Rs 54.5 crore, showcasing a 21.67% hike. Monday brought in an astounding Rs 59 crore as the euphoria carried over into the workday.

Border 2 witnessed a push with Republic Day fervour. The war movie's total revenue to date is Rs 196.50 crore after it experienced a steep decline on Day 5 (Tuesday), earning Rs 19.50.

Border 2 is expected to become the first blockbuster of 2026 and earn over Rs 500 crore in India. The 1971 India-Pakistan war serves as the backdrop for Anurag Singh's film Border 2, which is a sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 war classic Border. It includes extensive fighting scenes with the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy.

Diljit Dosanjh plays Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, the only Indian Air Force officer to get the Param Vir Chakra, while Varun Dhawan plays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya in Border 2. Based on Major General Hardev Singh Kaler, Sunny Deol portrays Lt. Col. Fateh Singh Kaler. Lt. Cdr. M. S. Rawat, played by Ahan Shetty, symbolizes the Indian Navy's role in the India-Pakistan War of 1971.

Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, Medha Rana, Anurag Arora, and Paramvir Singh Cheema are also featured in the sequel.

Meanwhile, the success of Border 2 has already increased expectations for the franchise's future. Producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed that a third instalment, titled Border 3, is in work. He said that his production house and director Anurag Singh's banner will work together on the project in an interview with Hindustan Times.
