BTS RM Birthday: Kim Namjoon Makes 31st Birthday Special By Donating 200 Million Won To Korean Hospitals

BTS RM Birthday: The leader of the popular kpop band, Kim Namjoon, has been celebrating his 31st birthday on September 12. Unlike other celebrities who give a big birthday bash, RM chose to make his special day more meaningful. He chose to give hope to those patients who are in need. On the occasion of his birthday, RM donated a total amount of 200 million won (Rs 1.2 crore) to major hospitals in South Korea. The songwriter and rapper sent 100 million won to Seoul Asan Medical Center and Korea University Medical Center, respectively.

In a statement, RM said, “I decided to donate in the hopes that it would provide a small but warm hope to patients. It’s meaningful to be able to participate, even if only a little, in spreading the value of medical advancement and respect for life.”

In response to the donation, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Korea University, Yoon Eul-sik said, “RM’s warm heart, striving to create a better world, will be a great help in helping patients regain their health. We will cherish the value of sharing you have shared and do our best to nurture its fruits so that we can grow into an even more trustworthy, ultra-gap medical institution.”

This is not the first time, last year on his birthday, RM donated 100 million won to Everyone's Veterans Dream initiative, a part of the Uniform Worker Appreciation Campaign run by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

Apart from his social service work, RM has shared a new look with his ARMYs. He took to his Instagram stories and shared a blonde hair look. He kicked off the celebration with an early birthday dinner at the Mosu Seoul restaurant. RM shared a picture of his purple birthday cake. He captioned the picture with “Thank you, I miss you all.” He also reshared fans' posts and reposted Jhope’s story and a bracelet post with Jin.
