This highly anticipated project marks his first scripted performance since his debut in 2016, a wait that has left fans, known as ARMY, celebrating across social media.

That Night, Our Decaf is a romantic short film produced as part of a major promotional campaign for the South Korean coffee giant, Compose Coffee. Starring alongside actress Park Ji-min, Taehyung portrays a high school student whose life takes an unexpected turn when he reunites with his former classmate years later outside a coffee shop late at night. The teaser, released on April 8, 2026, promises a nostalgic and heart-warming aesthetic. The film is scheduled for an exclusive release on April 10, 2026, on the brand’s official social media platforms.

Meanwhile, this return to acting comes at an incredibly busy time for Taehyung. His band, BTS, recently released their comeback album Arirang on 20 March, which made history by occupying the entire top 10 of the Billboard Global Exclusive US Chart. While Taehyung is primarily known as a global pop icon, his acting portfolio, though selective, has always been met with critical acclaim. Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016)
