Cannes 2025: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked ethereal in the day 2 look of the prestigious film festival Cannes. The actress, who is representing L’Oréal Paris, has saved herself from a minor wardrobe mishap while posing with English actresses Helen Mirren and Cara Delevingne at the red carpet. Rai looked elegant in a black off-shoulder gown with a voluminous silver-beige coloured long cape. While she was posing with the other two actresses, her cape slipped from her elbow and Mirren accidentally stepped on it. Aishwarya, with a big smile, alerted Mirren about the same and she gracefully saved from having a mishap. Mirren, however, kept on apologising to her, but Rai managed it with smile and warm gesture which made things easy for them as they posed together. 

The video of the same going viral on social media. A user said, “The Camera Man's chanting the name Aishwarya, Aishwarya and Aishwarya.” Another wrote, “Wow. Gorgeous.” A comment read, “What a queen She looks gorgeous.” A comment read, “She looks the most beautiful.” 

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore Gaurav Gupta for her second day Cannes look. While describing the look, the renowned fashion designer wrote on Instagram “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the 78th Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet in Custom Gaurav Gupta Couture. @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb wears the ‘Heiress of Clam’, a custom creation imagined in a draped form and spiritual detail. The gown is hand-embroidered with an abstract rendition of the cosmos in bursts of silver, gold, charcoal, and black, accented with micro glass crystals to capture dimension and light. Enveloping her is a Banarasi brocade cape handwoven in Varanasi, India, inscribed with a Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita.” 

On day 1 of her Cannes participation, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opted for legal white saree with red necklace. She looked ethereal as she sports sindoor at Cannes. Her look was highly appreciated by the industry people and her fans.
