Disha Madan

Disha Madan, a Kannada actress, was spotted wearing a genuine zari Kanchivaram saree that had been woven for more than 400 hours by skilled artisans close to Chettinad. A sepia-toned photograph from a 1950s Chettinad wedding served as the inspiration for the saree's pattern. The gold peacock designs on the saree, which was colored in a revered vermilion red, were arranged in a purposeful, rhythmic design that was reminiscent of temple friezes.

Disha emphasised that it was a seamless flow of silk and gold with no borders or contrasts. She accessorised it with a custom corset blouse that was hand-embroidered with beads, zardosi, and micro-zari by four artisans over more than 250 hours.

For the unversed, Disha Madan won the first season of Dancing Star, which led to her early fame. In the serial Kulavadhu, she also played Vachana before leaving to help her father's business.

Nancy Tyagi

Nancy Tyagi once again revolutionised red carpet beauty with another self-stitched outfit on the red carpet at Cannes 2025. She designed a handcrafted pearl-embedded minidress with complex panelling, pearl strings, and crystal fringe for her second Cannes performance this year. The ensemble was a true labour of love that took over a month to finish. Her selection of a billowing overcoat with puffed shoulders and a trailing length added drama and grandeur to the ensemble, while the tailored silhouette and sweetheart neckline provided a feminine touch.

Nancy Tyagi previously created a silver gown on her own that had a plunging neckline, a corseted bodice that hugged her slim figure, and shimmering sequins.

Anushka Sen

Anushka Sen turned heads on the famous red carpet and on social media with her stunning royal purple strapless gown, which was equal parts dramatic and exquisite. The garment, which took 611 hours and 34 karigars to make, was finished with a waterfall train, an immense embroidered bow and meticulous gold embroidery.

Every component of Anushka's ensemble, from the striking silhouette to the well-considered styling, which included soft, pulled-back hair, glowing makeup, and eye-catching accessories, combined to provide an instant of pure red carpet splendour.

Actors, filmmakers, content creators and entrepreneurs walk the red carpet in attire during the May 13-24 event. However, this year's rules forbid nudity and oversized ensembles.
