Chahatt Khanna is a popular TV actress known for her solid and charming screen presence in shows like Bade Achhe Lagtey Hain. The actress recently opened up about her second divorce and shared how she dealt with public scrutiny, raised her daughters and what all challenges she faced during her divorce from Farhan Mirza. She expressed that the desire for a better life and a bright future for her daughters was the motivating force for her to take such a bold step.

Chahatt Khanna spoke to The Free Press Journal and shared how she has always stood up for what’s right. She believes not just a woman, but every human being should have that much courage and self-respect to stand up against what is wrong. She said, “I just always did what I felt was right, and I stood by it. I’ve always had the courage to say that if something is wrong, I won’t do it, and I won’t let anyone else do it either. No matter what the world says, I will never support the wrong. You should have that kind of confidence, that kind of courage and self-respect, not just as a woman, but as a human being too. I have always felt that if something is not okay, I won’t be a part of it. I’ll figure out the rest, but I will walk away.”

Talking about her approach in life, she further added, “I had that daredevil attitude. You shouldn't stay in a toxic marriage thinking you’re doing it for the kids. Kids are more affected than you realise. You don’t even know the damage it does. You’ll only find out when they grow up and you hear from their friends what your child really went through. So, I chose to walk away for my daughters, not despite them.”

The actress got married to Farhan Mirza in 2013. He is the son of Bollywood screenwriter Shahrukh Mirza. Initially, everything was good, but after a few years, problems started to arise between the couple. In 2018, Chahatt filed for a divorce, accusing him of mental and sexual harassment. She revealed that the relationship had become very toxic and was affecting not only her well-being but also her children.
