Deepika Padukone is one of the biggest stars in the Industry, who has proved her skills in various genres since her debut movie Om Shanti Om to Kalki 2898 AD. After being the female lead for over a decade now, the actress has stepped into the world of Artificial Intelligence as the voice of Meta AI across multiple countries. Recently, Padukone shared that her voice was mocked when she entered the Hindi film industry and now she is happy that she is part of Meta AI.

At CNBC's Global Leadership Summit, Deepika Padukone said, “I am someone whose voice was sort of mocked when I came into the industry and now suddenly I am the voice of Meta AI- strange! And my accent, but I continue to own it. I think that's probably how and why it happened. I am so excited about the possibilities, the only thing I believe it cannot replace is human emotion. I think that is the only place where AI will not be allowed or will not be able to match up. Barring human emotion and how an actor would emote, because you can't infuse soul into AI.”

Deepika Padukone also talked about the ongoing debate of pay disparity and the working conditions in Bollywood. She said, “I have done this at many levels; this is not new to me. I think, even as far as pay is concerned, I have had to deal with whatever comes with it. I don’t even know what to call it, but I am someone who has always fought my battles silently. And for some strange reason, sometimes they become public which is not the way I know and not the way I’ve been brought up. But yes, to fight my battles silently and in a dignified way is the way I know.”

Deepika was last seen in Singham Again, which was directed by Rohit Shetty. The movie also featured Ranveer, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in pivotal roles. It was released in theatres, 2024. She will be next seen in King, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The movie also stars Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. It is expected to be released in theatres in 2026.
